THE FUTURE OF GOA by Martinho de Souza

Goan quislings argue now, as they did in 1961, that because she is so tiny, Goa cannot go it alone economically and that she therefore needs the Indian Union to survive. This is poor thinking: If Timor Leste can, with UNO help, be an independent Country, albeit the poorest in Asia, why not Goa?
There are certain geopoliticians who claim that because she is part of Indian subcontinent, Goa should be swallowd up by NeoImperialistic India. Tell this to political entities of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Assam, Lesbela etc and check the reaction.
The fact is that India should quit Goa immediately and pay conpensation to the naissant free State of Goa for the occupation and exploitation of our Country since 1961.
Down with Indian NeoColonialism!
Goa is India’s Iraq. Out with ghanti Hindu Domination in Goa!

Well said! I am ready to die for this cause if we can succeed in getting Independence. I believe it will never end with India on our tail. Look at some of the Ghanttis on this forum, like Patel etc saying that they own Goa. The Navy wanting more and more of our land. Mr Patel will want more and more flats and houses for his family members from Gujarati...etc.All we keep doing is putting a bandage to trying to save our culture and our Goa. In the next 50 years if we don't take action we will cease to exist as Goans, we all know that! I beg anyone that can appeal our case through the UN to do it for us. I hope a Dr Jack Seqeira can come forward and lead us the way and save us. Trying to get anything else would just be a band aid. We need to do it now. The time is right...with Cipriano death, suspension of honest judges, drugs, murders, desecration of our religious centers, looting and corruption with dirty politics. We are being suppressed. We already don't feel at home in our own home. Instead we are being victimized by crimes, burglaries and robberies. It is time for us to unite and act as ONE. Please make my dream come true. Please make the dream true for my elders who have passed away waiting. Please do it for the Goan youth of the future that will grow up Goan with our Goan values and have pride in his/her Goan heritage. I beg you all if can be done, we MUST Do it, and Do it NOW!PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!! Please!!! We need to save ourselves...Anyone that calls himself or herself a 'Goan' they should be able to stand for this cause or else they are not Goan…..I have a Dream that we will have our homeland back…..where we are free with our people living the life our people have done for generations. Where we can leave in peace with no one breaking into homes and temples/churches are open all day every day. We need someone like a Egypt Google EX to get the movement to get started. I am ready to do anything to that cause!!!!!

Yes Martinho, we seriously need someone who can persue Goa's case with UN. Until and unless we take assistance from UN this Indian occupier will always subdue us with all sorts of tactics and will continue to impose it's own dictate. We don't need Central Ghantis to come and rule Goa. Goan's in Goa and around the world must realise what could be the value of Goa infront of India and India knows very well about this. Why everybody comes down to Goa specially during Christmas and New Year season, because Goa has got it's unique blend and culture. Let them make such happening place in their own state but they cannot.
My dear Goan's please wake up from your sleep and judge yourself what situation we are in today. As I said earlier, respected and influential Goan's who love their motherland Goa should come forward and give a kick start to quit Goa movement and I am sure we are and all Goan's around the world will definately land their helping hand in this movement. We have the genuine case with UN and Supreme Court of India as well, who has written down Goa's in not a liberation but overcame by force of arms.

I 100% Agree with Martinho.

It is very important to recall that Goa was the first territory of the Indian subcontinent to be colonized in 1510. There was no Indian Republic then, but numerous territories/kingdoms under different rulers/kings with absolute sovereignties. Indian republic itself is a federal state of the union of such sovereign territories founded on an original agreement between them based on mutual concerns and interests.

Indians never came to Goa to liberate us on 1961 but Invaded Goa, Damão e Diu and illegally Annexed it. On average (per capita), the territory of Goa,Damão e Diu was more rich and prosperous than the rest of the Indian Union. India had cast it’s envious eyes on the Iron ore trade of Goa and wanted the revenue into it’s own treasury. We had our own Airlines TAIP ( Transportes Aéreos da Índia Portuguesa ). Goa would be much prosperous without the Indian Union Today.

YES Martinho, What you say is true to the core I should say...

My grandparents always said that those days were the golden days when Goa was run by the Portuguese administration, unlike today where the Goan’s themselves cannot be seen in Goa anymore... In those days a person had no need to lock their doors unlike today where even if your house is locked you may still be robbed. Out of fear of persecution 60% of the Portuguese Goan’s as we were called until 1961 migrated... In Goa there are the elders and children that are truly Goan’s besides them the rest all are outsiders swallowing all land visible and ready for the taking...

Goa needed no independence from Portugal as it was never treated like a colony & nor were the people used as slaves... Goa was treated as an integral part of Portugal that means it was Portugal. We had the best compared to the rest so let’s work to make it better again.

Viva Portugal Viva Goa

Martinho de Souza, I totally agree with you, But are we Goans ever going to unite and fight in one voice. The Catholic are the main betrayers in handing Goa to the Indians which was named as Liberation rather than invasion. Our politicians have turned Goa into a dependant rather than independent state, they are the puppets of the central government. The political crumb eating voters are the other traitors to our beautiful Goa by voting the same corrupt ministers to power. Thank God for Dr Jack Sequera and the opinion poll which I was part of, or else we would have lost Goa for Good. Can Goa be better again? United we can.

Martinho....
Truly said, but who will put our case to the UN? Do you think that our corrupt ministers some of them being Niz Goenkars are supporting ghanttis. Do you think they will want an independent Goa? Our only war should be against these chors to throw then out for good, only then we might be able to see an independent Goa, but we all should unite as one family.
