GOA’S SELF DECLARED FREEDOM FIGHTERS LIKE NAGUES KARMALI THREATENS STATE GOVT OVER ENGLISH MOI

PANJIM: Fake and self declared Freedom fighters in Goa under the leadership of self declared freedom fighter Naguesh Karmali have threatened to boycott state celebrations of the Goa Revolution Day June 18 in protest against the government's decision to allow financial grants to English-medium schools.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference here Monday, spokesperson for the All Goa Freedom Fighters Association (AGFFA) Nagesh Karmali said they will also boycott other state-organised functions June 18, which is remembered as the day when freedom fighters in 1946 gave a call for direct action against the nearly 450-year-old Portuguese colonial rule.
"We will not participate in the June 18 function organised annually by the Goa government. The decision to allow grants to English-language (schools) will kill the regional languages and will enslave us to the colonial heritage," Karmali who is a fake and self created freedom fighter said.
"We will wait outside the Azad maidan (where the martyr's memorial is housed) in protest and not be part of the official function," he said.
Criticising Chief Minister Digambar Kamat for "succumbing to blackmail" by some "denationalised" legislators and allowing the party high command in Delhi to decide on the medium of instruction (MoI) policy in Goa, Karmali said: "Kamat has no spine. If the Portuguese were in Goa today, he and these legislators would be still licking the boots of these colonial rulers. This is a denationalised government."
"How can Delhi dictate to a state government on a regional issue concerning the identity of the region," he asked.
Goa's several thousand freedom fighters have backed the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Mandal (BBSM), which has been demanding a rollback of the Goa government's decision in May to allow schools using English as MoI to avail government grants.
Until the last week of May, the state government offered aid and grants only to Konkani or Marathi-medium schools.
The Forum for Rights of Children's Education (FORCE), a parents' front backed by a large section of Catholic politicians and the clergy, has backed English, while the BBSM, supported by a section of the freedom fighters and rightwing protagonists and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have backed both Konkani and Marathi languages as the MoI.

Let this ar....hole Karmali and his other ar...holes wait outside the Azad Maidan with coconut shells in their hand. Passers-by will at least take pity on them put some coins so that they will get their daily bread and won't die of hunger.

Would like to know 1 thing, if anyone can enlighten me, as i was to young to remember, when the
Konkani agitation took place; I know my Salcete was the spear head for it,

What I want to know is, were these so called Self Proclaimed Freedom Farts there when “Goa Really needed them” did they fight for Konkani, if they were there, how in the world did they not stop Marathi from happening ????

He’s talking about going back to Colonial times if English is Granted MOI, what the hell is he talking about, does he want to live in the 18th Centaury?

Seems their Pockets and Conscience have not got the better of them yet, eating Taxpayers money all these years…..

If its 50 years since we were invaded by the Indian Army, wonder how old these So called Freedom Fighters were when they fought for Goa, am only wondering for how many more years will we have to feed these A$$holes!

Permit me to correct what is written.
Government is giving grants to some 800 Marathi primary schools, some 160 Konkani, few Urdu & Kanada Primary.
FORCE demanded for INCLUDING English Primary Schools in their list of Grants. FORCE also backs regional language.
And BBSM is OPPOSING the INCLUSION of English. So do not confuse.
The rest what is being talked by BBSM is taking a walk up the hill with a bottle of water.

@dlp, pls dont offer them alms, it would be better if they & the old hag tai starve to death. We'd be rid  of these traitors of Goa and have peace. They have been fattening themselves at the taxpayers money for too long, yet wanting more & more.
