CAN BANDH DECIDE THE FUTURE OF OUR CHILDREN? By Joel Morais, Cuncolim

Since Liberation till I passed out SSC in the year 1989, there were nothing called as Konkni medium Schools. The PDF government which was the combination of MG and some Power hungry Congressmen forcibly changed the MOI at the primary level to Konkni in the name of grants but they never dared to apply the same to Marathi medium Schools. At the time of Konkni agitation the so called present saviors of Konkni were the same ones who were all out to oppose konkni as the official language of Goa.
There is really no point writing something lengthy against those hypocrites who are facing a severe understanding problem. Their kith and kin are getting the best benefit of English education, one of them even run an English medium School and yet organize illegal morchas and Bandhs to prevent the poor parents of giving the same English education to their Children. The MOI is not at all an issue. It’s a simple and clear case, people have got the choice between English, konkni and Marathi to chose as the MOI and there can’t be better so called experts rather than the parents themselves.
Supporters of English are been termed as anti-nationals by BBSM but the world knows who had plans to merge Goa with Maharashtra? With regard to the ministers supporting Konkani as a MOI, why they don’t dare to resign against their own governments decision? The reason is quite simple, there is nothing so important than the money making Kodel for them.
My own village which is represented by a Varca man in the Vidhan Sabha was 99 percent closed on the day of 6th June but that doesn’t mean we all Cuncollekars support Konkani or Marathi as a medium of Instruction. On that day a place was opened in Cuncolim and sold things like Bhaji pao,tea etc. at a black market day and made the best use of Bandh.

This what the late Winston Churchill had to say during a debate in British Parliment on the grant of independence o India in 1947. I quote " Liberty is man's birth right. However to give the reins of Government to Congress at this juncture is to hand over the destiny of hungry millions into the hands of rascals, rogues and freebooters. Not a bottle of water or a loaf of bread shall escape taxation only air will be free and the blood of these hungry millions will be on the head of Mr Atlee. India will be lost in political squabbles..... It will take a thousand years for them to enter the perphery of philosphy or politics. Today we hand over the reins og government to men of straw of who no trace will be found after a few years"  Unquote

One hopes the Goa Government and their High command listens to warning of Late Winston Churchill and tries to prove him wrong.
But I doubt look at the elected representaives we send to the legialative assembly  Diggu Kaka, Chorchill, Micckey de Ratol, Monsterrat de Taliban, Parrikar ( RSS ) Babu Azgaonkar, Sexy Vishwajeet, Mummy, Fresh Agnelo Fernandes, Illegal mining expert Joking Alemao, Parsekar,Damu Naik, Modkoikar, Suanstha Dhavlikar, Cricket buffon Narvekar  and what have you !!! Bravo Late Winston Churchill your prophecy is being fullfilled overtime in Goa !!!!! It won't hurt these thick skinned politicians these are only pin pricks for them !!!! Shameless lot !!!!

Goa, once known as a land of joy and happiness is today a land of blind protests. One needs to understand the logic and laws behind any situation before literally sitting in the middle of roads and highways and disrupting public life. Yes, I am talking about the BBSM protests. Let us divide our discussion into two parts, one, the addition of English to the list of MOIs (Medium of Instruction) for primary education in Goa and, two, the protests that followed.
One thing that needs to be made clear is that the government has added English to the list of MOIs but it hasn’t removed Konkani and Marathi from the said list. If this is understood, I don’t see a reasonable and sensible cause for people to have an issue with this. If you wish to educate your children in a Konkani medium school, go ahead! Why should you worry about the medium in which your neighbour’s children study? Everyone has a right to choose. We say we are a democratic nation, then how can we deter parents from choosing English as the MOI for their children?
The protestors might take assistance of the charter of rights contained in the Constitution of India (part III – Fundamental Rights), which says that any section of citizens can establish and administer their own educational institutions to promote their own culture, language and script. But this does not give any citizen or section of citizens the right to hinder other citizens from their right to education in the language of their choice.
Now, having understood the authenticity and validity of the decision to add English as a MOI, let us look at the reasonableness of the protests that are taking place across the state. No doubt, the above mentioned charter also bestows upon every citizen a right to freedom of speech and expression, assembly, association or union, among others. However, this is not an absolute right, it is subject to certain conditions like security of the state, public order, decency, morality and many more. It was sad to see renowned politicians and other professionals sitting in the middle of a national highway, causing nuisance to society and public life.

Where was Churchill sleeping on this BANDH day.?
Surely he could have got into his Official Government allocated Car or his sons Luxurious  BMW car, purchased from loooted & plundered money, and gone around Navelim or even Benaulim /Varca, along with , off course, Valanka the new Hostess, & Madame or Mademoiselle, of  Innagurations of " anything & everything" , shadowing the BBSM /BJP louts & paid monkeys.
There is a saying "WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, THE TOUGH GET GOING".
So once again, Churchill has demonstrated, he is all mouth and no action.
But I understand why. There was no 10 % commission to be made during from  BANDH.
Churchill can "TALK THE TALK"....BUT IS TOO IMPOTENT & LIMP TO "WALK THE TALK"!!

Though the Legal system has advanced & moved on, Adv. Anacleto still practices like an Advocate of a bygone era. This also applies, to his views of the New World.
Advocates in Goa are not a rare speices anymore. There are plenty  now, out there, and many Graduating day by day, who are far more in tune with Modernity.
His UGDP Party has no clout, and Goans do not see this Party as effective. It makes "NOISES" now & then, but the Public just let these "NOISES", pass through their ears.

Looks like the ALEMAO clan, all went underground on the BANDH DAY.
Churchill states he is Leader of the masses. He is in Politicis because people want him to do so.He states he has done a lot for Goa and people of his constituencies....Benaulim and Navelim.
As all Goans now know,he likes to felicitate him self.He also pays for idiots to felicitate him .
In the morning he steals from the Public Purse. By the evening he gives some of the loot to Tiatrists to praise him & make him Chief Guest.

Goans are paying the price of disunited Goan Regional Political Parties. Goan politicians mainly the Cotholic Politicians have been hopping from one bed to another like prostitutes to meet their financial Gains. This has given Non-Goan Right Wing Hindu terrorists like the BJP,RSS, Seva Sena a stronger foothold on Goa.It has been smooth sailing for them because Goans are never united in one cause.

As i have always said , UGDP IS A RED-LIGHT PARTY WHICH BLINKS ONLY GLOWS ELECTION-TIME AND RADHA AND ANACLET ARE PIMPS. ANY ONE IS INVITED FOR A ONE NIGHT STAND.

Hi Gurudas:
I agree with you. Most of the MLA`s are not Principled Men.The change their Political Party allegiances much faster then they change their "underwear".
However I think the Politicians that change their Political Party affilitations come from both Catholic & Hindu backgrounds.
The most prolific abuser of this change of PArty`s  is none other than the PIG of VARCA.
Like the humble Goan Pig, he moves from one piece of "shit" to another , very rapidly.
