PANJIM: The Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch which is headed by the RSS leader of Goa section Subhash Velingkar has condemned the efforts of the government to solve the medium of instruction (MoI) issue in New Delhi, instead of finding a solution for the same in Goa itself.
A press note released by the organisational chief of the Manch, the RSS leader Subhash Velingkar, on Friday, said that the decision of the government to solve the MoI issue on party level, in the presence of the Congress ministers such as Mr Salman Khurshid and Mr Oscar Fernandes is very offensive.  “This decision will result in terrible long-term effects on Goa and its future generations,” he added.
It may be recalled that the BBSM, which is supporting the primary education in mother tongue, and opposing the government grants to English primary schools did not attend the Delhi meeting.  “In fact, we did not receive the invitation for this meeting,” Mr Velingkar stated.

The BBSM is supporting primary education in mother tongue with the sole idea of having more Marathi schools. The ultimate agenda is Goa's merger into Maharashtra, with the spread of marathi schools.

Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch should know that MOI in Education is not the only recourse to safe guard the local languages. And say that we don't want the local languages. even then they have to respect everbody's right.
Bloddy hell the whole country runs in english. Only the goverment   with either IIT or bonder Politicains run our affairs thru RED english. I hang my head in shame of English spoken in the assemly. And these people claim that they are big achievers.
