HC SENDS COMPLAINT AGAINST AG TO GOA CS FOR ACTION

PANJIM: The Bombay High Court has forwarded to the Chief Secretary of Goa for necessary action the complaint filed by Adv. Aires Rodrigues against the professional misconduct by Goa’s controversial Advocate General Mr. Subodh Kantak.
Adv. Aires Rodrigues had in his complaint to the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court stated that Mr. Subodh Kantak had in rank conflict of interest appeared for a private contractor in a matter before the Bombay High Court at Goa where the State of Goa was also a party.
Adv. Rodrigues had drawn the Chief Justice’s attention that in Writ petition 365/2010 before the Bombay High Court at Goa filed by Govind Nagvenkar where the State of Goa was also a party, that Advocate General Mr. Subodh Kantak was appearing for one of the private respondents Primeslots Events Private Ltd.
Adv. Rodrigues had further complained that Mr. Subodh Kantak instead of upholding the dignity and decorum of the high constitutional post of Advocate General had by this latest misdeed further tarnished the image and sanctity of the Advocate General’s post.
Adv. Rodrigues had also stated that as Advocate General of a State Mr. Subodh Kantak should have maintained high standards of professional ethics.

Boot lickers should not be holding posts where highest standards of integrity, sincerity and ethics is expected.
Their place is in politics.
