Police in Goa has always turned out to be the remote controlled dolls by the politicians in Power. The total negligence and failure of the Goa Police with regard to the Atala drug dealing case confirms the stand of Goa Police. The involvement of some Police Officers in drug dealing confirms where our one time peaceful state stands as far as law is concerned.
Suspended and pending inquiries is not the answer with regard to the Crime committed by the Police themselves. No drug dealing can progress without the blessing of the Police and the Police can’t bless the drug peddlers without the clear instructions from their political bosses. In general drug dealing is a illegal business wherein all legal people are involved and when Police Officers like Bosco George tries to act tough on drug dealing they are just been transferred to remote locations.
Killing of Cypriano by the Police at the Panjim Police Station with no arrests are been made till to-date in spite of the Culprits being known confirms the complete failure of law in Goa.
The handling of the situation at that Particular fateful day at Balli wherein two tribal youth were killed is another case of failure from the part of Goa Police. It is a just common sense, 120 Policemen cannot control a agitation of over 4000 people but the Police thought the other way round
The recent case wherein the Verna Police tried their level best to close the Melwyn death case when the death was mysterious is another severe blow on the Goa Police. It is a clear case where in the Police Officer attached to the Verna Police Station tried to hide the facts and just transfer of the same incompetent Officer is not the answer to the problem.Jivba Dalvi is very well known for his bad deeds and the Public in general cannot expect anything good from such Officers.
It might be very difficult to prove but the sad reality is Police Officer jobs are been sold by the people in Power at a very high cost ranging from 7 to 10 lakhs and such Police Officers turn out to be a severe threat to our so called Law.
Goa Police has really produced some very good Officers but unfortunately they cannot turn out to be the chamchas of the politicians in Power and that is the reason why they are been given a job of providing security to some useless personalities against whom even a roadside dog won’t bark.
