PANJIM: Chief Minister Digambar Kamat Friday offered no comments on the alleged link of home minister Ravi Naik’s son, Roy in the drug nexus claiming that it is for CBI to investigate. The CM is still trying to protect Roy Naik.
“There are so many things happening on the internet. I am not in the know nor do I keep on surfing,” Kamat told reporters reacting to the Swedish model, Lucky Farmhouse deposition before Sweden police naming Roy Naik’s involvement in drugs. “I have nothing to comment. The case is with CBI and let them investigate it,” Kamat added.
Chief Minister was talking to reporters soon after his interaction with North Goa Mamlatdars via video conference. Farmhouse, a key witness in police-drug nexus cases in Goa, has claimed that she had deposed to police in Sweden and in her deposition, she has named Roy Naik.
The case, which was handed over to CBI after High Court directives has said that Lucky will be called for deposition and whoever she names will be interrogated.
When asked about Goa being on high alert after Mumbai blast, Kamat said that being an international tourist destination, the state is always on alert. Kamat said that there are often inputs coming in from various intelligence agencies on terror. “We consider those inputs in our preparedness,” he added.
NIZ GOENKAR ADDS: The statement denying knowledge of facts by the Chief Minister shows his complete arrogance towards the public in opening up the facts of the case. It is like a case of one thief protecting another thief. The CM knows it all, why is he hiding the facts? If he is not in full knowledge of what is happening in particular cases involving high profile criminals, what else can we expect to know from this dumb CM about the welfare of the state?
Simply hiding his comrades in crime will not stop the public from knowing that his administration is the biggest corrupt establishment in Goa.

Our entire Govt run Machinery is clueless on whats going on in their very backyard. If there were on their toes, we would not have had Investigation teams from other states coming and nabbing criminals in our very own Backyard taking our Police force by utter supriseon their raids.The reality is our Government has its own hidden agenda and they have no interest or negligable interest in the people.At the moment they are more into protecting their own skin and the fellow mates over the exposure of their Criminal activities. Diggu Kamat needed some Drug money to pay for his sons lavish wedding recently.This is also to keep up his social standing.The elections are coming soon too.
His basic Chief Minister`s salary could not pay for such a lavish wedding.I also doubt that he took a loan from the BANK OF INDIA or any other, at a substantial intererst rate.He most definitely did not pawn his wifes Mangalsutra.
I have not seen him with a begging bowl at the Kadamba Bus sation either,pretending to be a leper.
We all have come to know, he suffers from self inflicted Blindness.His Spectacles are slightly out of focus like his policies.His useless & short lived schemes, is the "proof of the pudding"
He might have some" dodgy" dealings in New Delhi, where he travels to frequently.
He is now salting away black money for his grandchildren...and their children etc.
I would also be very surprised if Digamber Kamats children, do not surf the internet and inform him of whats going on.They probably also got the computers free under the "cyberage scheme".
It is very obvious he will deny this.He is known to deny everything.
So I have to confirm , that he shares the loot of drug money with Ravi Naik.
