AGAÇAIM POLICE REGISTER A CASE AGAINST TWO PERSONS FOR ORGANISING BULLFIGHTS

PANJIM: Bullfights continue to resurface in the state despite the ban. The Agaçaim police on Monday morning registered a case against two persons for organising a bullfight.  The police said that on July 18, between 6am and 7am, Rosario Mascarenhas from Taleigao and Dunjao from Goa Velha organized a bullfight at an open public place in Siridao but escaped from the scene with their bulls.
Police said that the duo brought bulls and organized the bullfight by sending and SMS to the people in the village. "Around 50 people gathered for the bullfight, which lasted for few minutes," the police said.
Presently, animal fights are in contravention of Section 11 (1) (m) (ii) and Section 11 (1) (n) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960.

So many criminal sections for " prevention of Cruelty to animals", just wondering where the sections are when human beings are tortured, butchered and killed. Do those sections ever apply? what a joke in the making.
