WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN VAGATOR

PANJIM:  A 29-year-old local woman was found dead on a road about 400 m from her house in Vagator on Friday morning.  The Anjuna police said that they found the body of Jennifer D'Silva at about 8 am on Friday. Jennifer's family resides in Ribandar, but she was staying in a rented room in Vagator, about 400-500 m away from where her body was found. She had a shop in the flee market, said police sources.
The police said that there were no struggle or injury marks on the body and her clothes were intact, but they didn't rule out foul play. "It is surprising that she was found dead on the road. We suspect that either she was poisoned or strangulated. However, this can only be ascertained once we receive the postmortem report," said a police official. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and sent the body for an autopsy to the Goa Medical College and Hospital. Sources said that the autopsy would be conducted on Saturday.
Police sources said that she was friendly with a boy and they are now questioning him to get more details about the victim.
