PANJIM: Goa’s Director General of Police has failed to respond to eight reminders sent by the Home Department in the case pertaining to the car accident by the son of Goa’s former IGP Mr. K.D.Singh.
This has been revealed in the information furnished by the Home Department to Adv. Aires Rodrigues under the Right to Information Act. The 4th December 2009 car crash by the son of Goa’s former IGP Mr. K.D.Singh while driving his father’s official Toyota Innova GA-07-G-0063 had cost the State exchequer Rs 4, 33, 200.
Siddharth Singh, the IGP’s son was driving his father’s official vehicle along with his friends to a night club at Vasco when he crashed the vehicle while also damaging two electricity poles.
Chief Secretary Mr. Sanjay Srivastava had at a press conference on 14th December last year stated that the expenses incurred on repairs of the police vehicle would be recovered from former IGP Mr. K.D Singh.
The Home Department has now informed Adv. Aires Rodrigues that the money has not yet been recovered and that from 20th December 2010 eight reminders were sent to the DGP seeking certain clarifications on the accident. The last reminder was sent on 2nd May 2010 asking her DGP to furnish his reply by 4th May by a special messenger.
It may be recalled that Director of Prosecution Mrs. Shobha Dhumaskar had in her legal opinion given on 22nd February last year had opined that the former IGP’s son should not be charge sheeted in the accident case and that the case be closed.
Later acting on the complaint filed by Adv. Aires Rodrigues the Home Department has directed the Law Department to examine the legal opinion given by the Director of Prosecution.
Adv. Aires Rodrigues has been demanding that the expenditure incurred on the repair of the vehicle be recovered from the former IGP Mr.K.D.Singh who is now settled in Porvorim and that the former IGP’s son be also prosecuted in accordance with law for unauthorisedly driving and crashing a government vehicle.

On the other side, there is the law for the poor, arrest or intimidate them and lock them. The third one is In-Laws where the In-Laws of all corrupt fellows can own illegal mines and assets of the Government of Goa. Example: All MLA's, Police Officers.
This is a common cover-up of crimes ,in and amongst the current corrupt Goa Administration.
