5 HOUSE BREAKING AND THEFTs AT FATORDA IN A DAY

MARGAO: Thieves had a good laugh in the Commercial capital last night, targeting as many as five apartments in Fatorda area of the city. The miscreants have managed to lay their hands on gold ornaments and cash amounting to Rs 10,000 from an apartment owned by B M Patil. They, however, could not lift away any valuables from an adjoining flat.
The situation in respect of the remaining three flats could not be ascertained as the inmates were out. The police made their presence felt at the spot after being intimated of the incident.
A police official said they will come to know the exact status once the owners of the three apartments return. However a police officer at the Margao Town police station feigned ignorance about the thefts saying no FIR stands registered at the police station.

@ Salvador many of these robberies are carried out under the protection of Goan police for a percentage of the loot.

If CBI raid the houses of the Goa police officers, money amounting to crores will be found hidden in hard cash. This money contains blood stains of all innocent people. In every theft, the police have their hafta or else how can the thieves sell things in open market called "Chor Bazars" right infront of the police eyes? Has anyone noticed matka booths infront of the Police Headquarters in Panjim? Interesting? More interesting is in Margao, right infront of the Police Station, in Mapusa the same. So who says police don't take hafts from these people?

Feel sorry for those police constables made to man traffic in the cities standing in hot burning sun as punishment by their seniors whereas the officers receive the hafta from transporters in their cool offices and posh restaurants serving their stomachs to reach their hearts.

The Police themselves involved in these robberies. If they can rob drugs from their custody what guarante is there that they are not involved in many robberies taking place in Goa.....remember they have some very expert thiefs in department like PI Santosh Dessai, jivbha Dalvi,Albuquete brothers,Gad,Arwind Gawas etc.

"Gorcho Bedi Bailo Chor" is the famous saying in Goa, that is exactly what takes place under the noses of our police personnel. Criminals have found Goa to be a place of their liking, as they are fully aware the law in Goa is an Indian Ass designed to protect criminals. During the Portuguese time criminals would not see the day of light.

It is absolutely true our leaders are the biggest criminals followed by those that are supposed to protect us. Non-Goans love the criminalized place.
