MARGAO: The Maina Curtorim police have arrested two more suspects, Nitin Bhosle and Krishna Anjuti, in connection with the headless body murder case. Margao Sub-Divisional Police Officer, DySP Umesh Gaonkar informed that both the suspects, residents of Housing Board, have been arrested today, taking the total number of arrests in the case to nine so far.
“We have not verified what is their exact role and connection with the murder. We have picked them up since the police have got their link with the case”, he said.
Replying to a question, DySP Gaonkar made it categorically clear to all and Sunday that the police are investigating into the cold blooded murder and not in any Temple case. He said that investigations into the murder case are progressing in the right directions.
The police have already arrested alleged prime suspect Jayesh Naik and his two brothers, besides six others in connection with the murder of Sultan Bellary, whose headless body was found abandoned at Nessai in Sao Jose de Areal on January 11. The Maina Curtorim police are investigating the case.
