PANJIM: Goa Police on Wednesday said that its special investigation Team (SIT) did a better job than the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Margao bomb blast case. "SIT had done a commendable job cracking Margao bomb blast case....They did better job than NIA," said Goa police spokesperson Atmaram Deshpande today.
"The NIA could not correct or change a single thing about the initial investigation conducted by Goa police," he said. NIA had probed Margao bomb blast which occurred on October 16, 2009. The blast was allegedly triggered by members of right-wing Hindu organisation, Sanatan Sanstha.
Eleven people have been named in the chargesheet, six of which have been arrested. Trial is currently underway. Deshpande said that the same SIT is currently investigating the policemen-drug lords nexus case.
The nexus came to light following a sting operation which showed police sub-inspector Sunil Guddler of Anti Narcotic Cell selling drugs. – PTI

What nonsense is Atmaram Deshpande talking! What happened to the police-drug nexus which was investigated by Chandrakant Salgaonkar? What about the Nadia Torrado case? And Deshpande calls "we did better than other agencies" is he not ashamed to even whisper these words? I am 77 today and till date have never seen such embarassing statements and such flop and sabotaged investigation as that by the crime branch of Goa
Please don't call them Goa Police. They have tarnished the name of our beautiful Goa. Just call them G.Police ('G' stands for Ghantti or Gu). Not Goa. Did a better job? Can this asshole Deshpande highlight one job that they did cleanly and better than other agencies??? I have an award for him if he highlights one.
Why is the dog wagging its tail? The recent Police controversy speaks for itself as how Goan Citizens are treated in custody.
Why only better than NIA?
Gua Pulis is better than the Italian Drug Dealers;
Have better homing sense than the Termites;
Better than Al-Qaeda in terrorising;
Better than thieves in robing their own armoury;
Better than the Judiciary to file criminal cases with loopholes and secure acquittals; and file false cases against innocent citizens;
Better than most businessmen is earning daily grease for their palms.

With 99% of accquitals,how do the Goa POlice justify their efficiency in investigations and case preparation.

Each and every case nowadays,that Goa Police bring to Court, is an accquital.
I have a feeling the Goa Police are soon going to come under suspicion for each and every case.The Public no longer trust them.
