JOSE PHILIP PROVES HIMSELF THE INCHARGE IN VASCO

VASCO: After the recent spat between former tourism minister Francisco 'Mickky' Pacheco and local MLA and revenue minister Jose Philip D'Souza, electoral pundits in Vasco had expected the legislator to lose over the infamous bout of 'Goonda Raj'.
Instead D'Souza's panel won eight of the 10 seats in the 20-ward Mormugao municipal council. The winners included his wife Nany and brother Pascoal.
Candidates backed unofficially by local BJP legislator Milind Naik won from most of the wards from one to five. Interestingly, of the 16 outgoing councillors who fought in this election, eight won.
This included Carlos Almeida who scored a hat-trick with this win, Shekhar Khadapkar, Sharad Chopdekar, Saifulla Khan, Suchita alias Manda Shirodkar, Krishna Daji Salkar, and Lavina D'Souza. While former Vasco MLA Simon D'Souza's wife Felicity lost, former New Vaddem councillor Tara Kerkar won.
As the chairperson's seat is reserved for women, speculations are rife about who will bag the chair. While Lavina D'Souza said that she will "try to become the first chairperson in this council", observers say Jose Philip may want his wife Nany to stake claim, while Kerkar is also in the fray. Lavina, incidentally, is part of the Jose Philip's panel.
Incidentally, of the three candidates supported by Cortalim MLA Mauvin Godinho in Dabolim, only Sudesh Korgaonkar won. He openly thanked the deputy speaker for his support (TNN)

I think it was a right choice for Vasco!Yet Mr Philip is not a saint but has populace support of marginalized and fishing community.

Compared to Mr Mauvin Godinho and Micky,Mr Philip is better then other two.He does not take revenge on his opponents. With Mick and Mauvin its dangerous to those who oppose them.
Most of Goondas from Birla,Chicalim,Sada and Baina are nourished by Mauvin.Namely SEBY,BALLAN,AGUAIR BROTHERS(BIRLA),SAIFULLAH(COUNCILLOR),SIMON,DIUOD and others.
As long as Mauvin is in Power, there will be arrival of new breed of criminals.Only on this ground Mr MAUVIN WINS HIS ELECTION.He creates fear and violence on those who oppose him.The only option he provides is SURRENDER or else he is after you.
He has demolished a shop(GADDO)WHICH HAS EXSISTED FOR YEARS NEXT TO CHICALIM PANCHAYAT which was owned by local Goan. This was done only because the owner opposed him.He has given sanctuary to all other SHOPS(Ghadas)run by outsiders.
Mr MAUVIN IS A SON NON GOAN.His mother was GOAN BUT HIS FATHER WAS INDIAN.His father CAME TO GOA TO WORK FOR RAILWAYS
MAUVIN looted most of Communidades within his jurisdiction. His RELATIVE MR.AGNELO ALCACOASSAS-AGGIE,panch of velsao)FROM VELSAO has taken maximum benifits. The area near the road connecting BIRLA AND VELSAO HAS BEEN NAMED AFTER MR AGNELOS DAUGHTER(QUENNY) known AS QUEENY NAGAR.THIS WHOLE LAND BELONGED TO COMMUNIDADE BUT Mr AGNELO OWNS IT.
There are many more things which be highlighted in due course of time.
UNTIL WE HAVE PEOPLE LIKE MAUVIN,GOA IS NOT SAFE
As NIZ GOENKARS WE SHOULD FIGHT SAVE GOA.

@ Simon Fernandes – your comments are precisely true. We cherish your writing and these points should be noted by NG for any future discussions. It would be worthwhile if only steps were taken to act on these malpractices that are being carried out. If all Niz Goenkar join this site, I am sure each and everyone can contribute in the smallest way possible to bring out his thoughts and suggestions in a right way to achieve what we are presently fighting to restrain our homeland from destruction, which is under the influence of these corrupt 40 chors and attain full freedom to our mother land. VIVA GOA – VIVA GOENKAR.

one should see how phillip won the elections for his wife and brother. It is commonly known that people vote for philip because of his brother pascoal.About mauvin's goons I do believe it to be true. As a minister Philip can be called Juze-flop-da-montri.In the present scenario of the 40 chors including chorchill, Maar-vin,Juze-flop,Mickeymouse & co. we should remember Mahatma Gandhi's words " when I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it always".

In Alibaba and 40 thieves the thieves get burnt in hot oil in their own hiding places.

Having read Simons comments Goa is in need of a major change and that will come. I have seen Goondas of my time that are languishing in bed, deserted by their past masters, they are suffering the curse of their victims. I know of two that are begging on the streets of Margao.
But that said we need to unite to make that fight to save Goa and mould it to a better futuure
