MAPUCA: One Upendra Harischandra Patil, 34, of Thane, Mumbai, was arrested by Anjuna police for allegedly stealing a bike. He's been remanded to seven days police custody.
PI Manjunath Dessai said Patil had hired a bike from one Salvador Pedru Lobo from Bhattwaddi, Anjuna, on August 31. As he failed to return the bike, Lobo filed a complain on September 18.
As investigations revealed that the bike was in Mumbai, a team travelled to the metro and nabbed Patil. They got the bike, whose number was changed from GA to MH, back too.
