LOW RANK POLICE OFFICERS PERFORM BETTER THAN THEIR SUPERIORS

PANJIM: In some further embarrassment to an already dented Goa Police it has now been revealed that the low rank police force have performed better than their superiors.
Information sought by Adv. Aires Rodrigues under the Right to Information Act has revealed that just 14% of the low rank police force which includes Assistant Sub Inspectors, Head Constables and Constables have faced disciplinary action.
The Goa Police have informed Adv. Rodrigues that 21 ASIs, 155 Head Constables and 338 constables have faced disciplinary action from amongst a total low rank police force of 3812.
Information sought by Adv. Aires Rodrigues earlier had revealed that more than 50% police officers from those holding the rank of Police Sub-Inspector to Superintendent of Police had faced disciplinary action at some time or the other during their service with the Goa Police.

Many low ranking police officers will perform better because they work with conscience. For few "new broom sweeps well" for others recover what is paid to get the job.
