CALANGUTE: A 59-year-old contractor from Kolhapur committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling in his resort flat on Wednesday. According to Calangute Police, Bhairo Shankar Mishal, resident of Porba Vaddo- Calangute, was found hanging to the ceiling hook with the help of nylon rope at about 9 am.
Police further informed that Mishal was working as a contractor at a resort in Porba Vaddo. “The post mortem report indicated that the person died due to hanging,” informed PSI Harish Gauns.
Meanwhile, a man in his mid thirties was found dead near an apartment at Naikka Vaddo-Calangute on Wednesday at about 11.30 am.
Calangute Police informed that the body has been preserved at GMC Hospital in Bambolim for post mortem. PSI Harish Gauns is investigating the case. (H)
