DUBAI KICK BALL: THE NEW GAME, Editorial by Niz Goenkars

All Goans were famously known for the famous sport of football played in every nook and corner of Goa. There were winners and losers or it was just a draw. The winners would taunt at the losers and the game would end with a smile and a little discussion the next morning on who played foul, who played the best.
Now this game has changed, it has become a different type of game and let us call it Dubai Kick Ball. It is about kicking each other, calling others lesser than the measure and showing themselves as only real Goans of merit.
Now this is a different type of game where there are two teams involved. Dubai Goans with Cajetan at the Goalpost, unable to save a single goal by now. We have the referees and linesman playing along with this team and that includes the two innocent linesman Navita and Maria but the referee, the wife of the collector is just in the picture, Judy, the Poodle.
The ground is NIZGOENKAR STADIUM, a comfortable ground with Menino D’ Valpoi guarding the boundaries along with Diogo Fichardo, Dalia and many others where space will not be sufficient to fill in with names of every Niz Goenkar who is a contributor. The forces like Trevor, N. Fernandes and bebdo is the new strength of the real Goenkars. Shyam Sawant is our other good observer. We have a motive, to educate each one of us on the present state of Goa and Goenkars and expose the corrupt and bring in a change for our generation.
On the other hand, NIZGOENKAR is on a scoring spree with responsible players shooting to the target with good combinations of brains at work. We have DLP or Diogo Lazarus Pereira as our guiding force who is now referred by some blinds as Dukor Lipon Poita. And if that dukor lipon poita is true, it must be because the “dukrakan” who is hiding in the bushes to catch the so called dukor. Use of decent language is the norm of the blog and now, the use of bad language culture is started by this Judy including abuse on phone and we think, there should be an end to it as Niz Goenkars principle.
This is about the poor boy Jackson Coutinho who is struggling for life and the Goans fighting, mudslinging outside. I hope it is high time to put the controversy to rest by accepting our faults, where we faulted. This may not be possible since the Dubai Trio and their associates who are in hiding and throwing more insults won’t bulge in. For them, other Goans outside Dubai are lesser Goans. Like the low profile woman whom we know is the wife of one of the main culprit to release the advertisement for funds, now abusing with her favourite bad words. The game has now changed rules, it is the pride of the Dubai Trio that may fall if they accept the responsibility and bury the hatchet. Moreover, they want more and more controversies to surface.
The whole controversy would have not arisen if not for the email by Cajetan that was rude and calling other Goans lesser eligible to help Jackson’s because when it was widely advertised. The pen is mightier than the sword and it proved. The arrogance shown by the Dubai triangle has led them in the present trouble. There should have never been an appeal in the first place without putting logistics in place.
Secondly, there should have been a mention that the appeal is for contributors within Dubai and not other parts of the Emirates or outside. There have been blunders made by whoever and as I understand lately, Cajetan Coelho, with his arrogance paid for it. Secondly, it is understood that against all advice, Praveen Viegas started the collection campaign without even considering the advice of the seniors. However, his wife now started a vicious campaign of writing filty language and abusing people on the phone. I am now writing with proof that we possess.
It is with humbleness, Mr. Jude Pereira from Dubai was candid about all the revelations about this fund raising and the irresponsibility that was associated with it. He admitted in a long telephonic conversation that was heard beside by my colleague P. Cruz that this Viegas was immaturely involved but with a good cause with no logistical preparations. According to Jude, Cajetan was just a party to it. But, as President, Cajetan cannot wait for the Parish Priest to take decisions and issue statements? Is he the rightful person to segregate Goans based on their locations? How can he just decline aid after advertising the cause and at last moment tell others that we are not wanted as we do not belong to his category of Goans from Dubai? This was too insulting and does not suit for a cause. We should not write long on this subject as the comments from different commentators explains it all. It will be an injustice to the existing blogs to repeat the same things here.
We have to write this short article based on the conversation with Jude Pereira. It was a long conversation last night and we admire you Jude, as you have verbally exposed the ills of your community. Your request for reconciliation is paramount and we should be able to achieve that. First, a small apology, if it sincerely comes from the heart of Cajetan will suffice to bury the hatchet. Secondly, as you spoke about it should not be behind the curtain, let us admit our mistakes and be as ONE GOEM, ONENESS in GOENKARS and not identify ourselves as Dubai Goenkars and Others.
Let us stop this game called Kick Ball. The real person requiring attention is Jackson Coutinho who is struggling for his life. More than the financial aid, the need of the hour is miracle, oneness and unity. No matter which religion we belong to, we believe in miracles. We believe in God to grant mercy and that happens in prayers.
This morning, as we were chatting with each other, another article on HERALD, Page 4 has revealed that another organization in Canacona has started a movement to garner support and financial support. Very appreciative, they are fully equipped with the ammunition to meet the enquiries of the people. It does not look suspicious but whereas, the Dubai Community accounts looks suspicious and that is the reason why people are asking for transparency. After all, it is people’s money for a cause and they have a right to know. Can the Dubai Community come up with a reconciliation process and bury the issue? Can we jointly, at a given fixed time say a little prayer along with our greatest Niz Goenkar Menino?
Can we remember Jackson and say “God Save Him” every time and see him walking off from the bed?
Let us finish this game of Kick Ball.
Viva Niz Goenkars.

It is with great pleasure, I read your editorial. You have exposed all the so called high or low profile culprits who work for themselves for the St. Mary's Church in Dubai. Viegas was a politician before he came to Dubai, a high profile PA to Churchill Alemao. His wife Judy is of questionable character and she is one of the member who has got a secret agenda with what she does. She is good in abusing and calling names at people. Dubai Goan Community is an organisation of the few corrupt Goans now in Dubai under the leadership of Cajetan Coelho. The Priest is just the rubber stamp like the President of India. Please publish the secret mails or comments by Judy, the deputy, secret funds collector of Goans Dubai.

Please keep the ball rolling and expose this Dubai triangle of Goans who make money in the name of the disabled. Cajetan should be a man enough to apologise and declare how much they collected in the name of poor Jackson. Judy should be able to show how much is the cut of her husband.

It is right for Goans to know how much money the Dubai Trio collected, where it is now and if they really care for Jackson or just the money received unaccounted.

Guys, a small bird who was perching on the wall during the Friday evening meeting of the St Mary's Goan Community told me that Cajie and his home-maidens are very agitated. But there were others who solely blamed them for the mishandling of the entire episode regarding Jackson. They know who wrote that article for Herald too since these same people had approached him to write an article about Fr Frank Gomes, which was published in Herald with his picture, saying that he is the first Goan priest to be appointed to the Dubai parish. It was a big write up.
Another interesting thing is Cajie and his hand-maidens think that Menino and the rest of us are some illiterate matka bookies, drunkards and perverts. They say that they are all professionals. I don't doubt that. I do believe in dignity of labour. For that matter, even a plumber, cook, hairdresser, sarcastian, grave-digger, and even a street walker and gigolo are all professionals. That is because they have chosen that profession of work.
So in our own right, we too are professionals but maybe we are in a different league of profession.
Now let's come to JUDY THE POODLE. This small bird told me that she has a tongue as sharp as a scimitar. She is also known to drop names of Chorchill and Mickkey Mouse as frequently as cheadacho and fo...cho. Maybe, in her village instead of learning Calculus and Functions, she learnt the C and the F words. A for Apple, B for Ball, C for cheadacho and D for Dunkrakar.
She thinks that we don't know Konkani. Sadly, she is not aware that we are not only well versed in Konkani, but Portuguese, English, Hindi and Marathi too.
By writing in Konkani which she probably must have learnt when she was teaching children the Bible during Sunday school, she thinks that she is an authority on Konkani, and in league with Shenoi Goenbab, Ravindra Kelekar and Dr.Olivino Gomes.
Alas! She has forgotten that she is only JUDY THE POODLE and not a Rottweiler or an Alsatian, who can tear apart a poodle.
So Judy the Poodle, instead of hiding behind your masters back, reply to this in Konkani, English and Portuguese.
If you can do so, then I am ready to eat my words. CAN YOU DO IT JUDY THE POODLE BEFORE CALLING US BEBDEAS, MOTKEKAR AND NAGONEA IN THE CHURCH COMPOUND ON FRIDAY.

Judy the Poodle, the wife of Viegas who is of likely to be of immoral character can carry a mat for you dear, she just love money and forget morality and character. She is like a bunch of vegetable on the veg stand that is rotting. Do not make this issue a political one by shouting near the church on Friday.

Dear Members of Niz Goenkar, Firstly I apologize for all what is abusing from myside, our first and only intention was to reach people and help Jackson with prayers and financial help in Bombay. When one hears people abusing U when u really dont have an wrong intentions it hurts and the same abusing words too came from my side. Secondly I have not called anyone on phone, pls check thoroughly for the calls u received. Lastly I once again say SORRY especially for DLP and I dont have any personal enmity with anyone. Viva Amchem Goi. And we pray that Jackson gets well soon. Judy

The first thing this Judy Viegas should know is that commentators here are not her Lapdogs or some sort of paid servants of hers. She can do this in Dubai, but she will not succeed here.
She is most welcome to come on this site (Niz-Goenkar) and put her point /views across to correct any misunderstanding.
She is most welcome to use, as much foul language in all languages ,that she can muster. She is welcome to spit as much Venom as she likes.
It will not make a difference to our views and sincere analysis of what her husband and his dumb associates have done and mis-managed.
In my view there is an element of secret money making, using Jacksons situation as a frontcover.
With Niz-Goenkar,Goans of all persuasions, now have a voice to express their views, sentiments and all the sinister going-ons in Dubai.

There is a saying "TO ERR IS HUMAN,TO FORGIVE DIVINE".
I guess this so called saviour of the human race called Judy Viegas will not understand this. What she understands best is self promotion, thinking and feeling she is above everyone and using her religious devotions to make a lot of "WONGA" (money).
It seems like she has inherited these traits from Miccky & Churchill.
She is entitled to strut (demonstrate) her stupidity as much as she likes. All she needs to know is Niz- Goenkars will not hide behind any mask ,as she is doing, nor will we be threatened by the likes of her.
If she wants a Battle or War with us ,we are ready.
I think She also needs a good lesson in diginity and etiquette.
To treat other Dubaikars, less fortunate than her as sub-humans is not acceptable by me or us ,I am sure.My parents have always taught me to be humble.
She can now deal with her equals and I am ready.
**More to follow in due course.(my main laptop is moody today and I am using my netbook)

I would request everyone, all Niz Goenkars to accept her apology and forgive her. She is enlightened by the vision of GOD as we believe. Sooner or later, Cajetan Coelho may also see the true path along with Navita and Maria.

We all make mistakes but we should not repeat them. And if you really mean what you have said then I salute you, for it takes courage to admit one's guilt and to apolozise. As N. Fernandes has said TO ERR IS HUMAN,TO FORGIVE DIVINE.
At least from my side I accept your apology. Welcome to the Niz Goenkar forum. We are all Goans and we should fight the roots of corruption that are destroying our Goa and our culture, heritage and our future generations to come.
I personally don't have any axe to grind against anyone for we are not fighting against an individual but against the political system in Goa. Our cause is noble and we have thousands of followers and well-wishers. Our movement is gaining momentum and so far we have kept it underground. But mark my word, we will ensure that Chorchill, Mickkey Mouse, Monster Rat,Pandurang Madkaikar,Mauvin and the other big Chors are not elected this time. We have already formed committees in these constituencies and at the right time they will teach these chors a big lesson.
So if you are a Niz Goenkar, you too would help us in achieving our goal. A GOA OF THE GOANS,FOR THE GOANS AND BY THE GOANS.
Finally, Judy, all is fine in love and war,and we are looking ahead for your support in our just cause.
Mog asundi, ani dev borem korum

Judy - Teach your husband Praveen how to draft letters and how to organise things orderly. His e-mail circulated in Dubai asking for help for Jackson was very horrible, with lots of mistakes and off course with wrong information. Also do not allow him to give any public speech as the 'Thanksgiving" speech given by him during Goa Bishop visit was the worst speech I ever heard in my life. I don't understand how he managed to be PA of illiterate Chorchill for around 10 years. Praveen should remember that Church Organisation is not political parties and he should be punctual whenever called for any assignment instead of reaching that place after 1, 2 hours.Lastly a lady/women should not use abusive words even it meant in extreame situations since it reflects her character as of loose character/loose moral/easy going women.

Many Goans will remember the murder of Gregory Fernandes,a Goan seaman and only breadwinner of his family who was murdered in Southampton(UK) in 2007.
A fund was started in the UK to assist his family and another seaman called Vinod, who was with Gregory.
As you readers will see, information was published indicating how much was colledted at this point in time. The name of each donor was also included.
In another article I have seen sometime ago ,the names and amounts were also published.
I am looking through the internet archives for this information.
In the mean time here below you will see what accountability and transparency means.
IT IS VERY VERY UNFAIR,CRIMINAL AND SINFUL TO ASK GOANS TO GIVE FOR A WORTHY CAUSE AND THEN TO DISCOVER OR BE TOLD LATER THAT PART OF THE MONEY (DONATIONS)WAS USED TO FUND THE LAVISH LIFESTYLES OF THE ORGANISERS AND TO PUT THEM ON A PEDESTAL ABOVE ALL OTHER GOANS.

Here below is how the case of Gregory was dealt with in the UK.******

A Tribute of Love in Memory of Gregory Fernandes (R.I.P)

26 April 1975 - 20 October 2007

On Sunday 9th December 2007, Flavio Gracias, the President of the Goan Association (UK), his Board of Directors and members of the Goan Community paid a Tribute of Love in memory of Gregory Fernandes at St Joseph’s Church, Southampton at 1.00pm. Gregory Fernandes, an innocent seaman, tragically lost his life after an unprovoked attack by a gang of youths in the village of Fawley, near Southampton.

Rev Fr. John O’Shea, parish priest of St Joseph’s, very kindly offered the use of the church for this service and the church hall for a reception later. About 100 people attended the service, comprising of a coach load from the London area who were joined by members of the local community from the Southampton area.

Our Goan Chaplain, Rev Fr Francis Rosario, was the Principal Celebrant and he was assisted by Rev Fr Oliver Antao, from the Pilar Mission in Mitcham and Deacon Stephen from the Sacred Heart Mission in Ealing. The choir enhanced the occasion by singing some well known English and Konkani hymns and they were accompanied by Herbert Fernandes on the guitar and son Lloyd on the organ.

Richard Fernandes, the Finance Director, led the tributes to Gregory, whose demise has left his parents shocked and devastated. Not only had they lost their beloved son, but also the family breadwinner. It was therefore important for us to gather here today to demonstrate our solidarity and support for them in their days of grief.

Following the mass, there was a small reception in the church hall where some food, supplied by Bernie’s kitchen, was served to all those gathered. Fr. John spoke to all present and emphasised the total shock that the community had felt following Gregory’s death.

He informed us that, earlier in the month, a candle lit vigil was held in the village of Fawley led by the Anglican priest Rev Barry James. A tree had been planted in Gregory’s memory close to the spot where he was attacked. The residents of Fawley have collected more than £5,600, which is to be shared between Gregory’s parents and Vinod, a fellow crewman who was also attacked, but survived despite being knocked unconscious. Flavio Gracias, President of the GOA, thanked Fr John and all the helpers who assisted with the organisational arrangements for this service and the Southampton Goans for their hospitality.

The crowd then made their way to the Esso refinery and gathered near the spot where Gregory collapsed and died. Once again, Fr Francis Rosario and Fr Oliver Antao led the prayers followed by the singing of the hymn “The Lord is my Shepherd”. A number of floral tributes were laid at at the spot where he fell, marked only by a solitary wreath of poppies.

The day ended in an adjacent hall where Esso very kindly laid on some refreshments. As these were being served, D C Phill Crossland, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, made a short speech informing the crowd of the developments in the investigation to date. Whilst he was anxious not to prejudice the case, he did:

Gregory Fernandes**PART 2****

1) apologise for what happened in his village of Fawley.

2) confirm that seven persons have been remanded on police bail and will appear in court in due course.

3) say that the Police were trying to expedite the release of the body so that a burial could take place as soon as possible. A passing motorist rescued Gregory and took him back to the refinery, where Gregory managed to get out from the car and walk to the gates but then collapsed and died.

4) state that one of the obstacles to this case is that there are no injuries which can be easily attributed to his death.

5) contact Gregory’s parents and members of the immediate family to let them know what was happening.

Finally, Flavio Gracias, President of the GOA, presented Phill with a token of appreciation for the hard work that made this visit possible. He also thanked Carol Dunford (Community Officer for Esso) who provided the refreshments and Brian Jones, the Security Manager at the Esso Refinery who tended to Gregory in his final moments.

I had a sleepless night on my day off work, I woke up made a cup of coffee at o5.55 and sent an e-mail to My close Niz Goenkars that we should not respond to Judys comments, and then said a prayer for peace. It was all worth as this has made my day. When Menino read Judy's comments to me I agreed it not be published as this would hurt the Niz Goenkers followers and would be more mudslinging, especially when Saturnino is doing an honest work in Goa for the sake of Johnson, he was called a devil that I wouldn't stand for. Few of us are in regular touch with him via the phone and assured our full cooperation . Menino also mentioned the call from Jude to him hoping to defuse the ugly situation created by their members.
Judy you are not the author of the phone call that I do believe, God has given you the grace to be sorry, If Its genuine who am I to deny you that? God be with You. I pray the creators of the ugly situation will follow.
I pray that Jackson wakes up and be proud to have brought more Goans together, as this is Gods doing. Let us now build bridges of unity among all Goans for the sake of Goa and future Goan generation.
Let us Niz Goenkars stick to our cause.

As a Goenkar, you too must have been feeling the pain of our Goa being destroyed from all sides. Our Goenkars don't have a place to stay, they cannot afford food to eat and they don't get jobs in Goa.
So don't you think, that we should fight these politicians who has brought the status of Goans to this pitiable level? Ultimately, it is our vote which makes the difference. We should not sell our votes but use them to vote out the illiterate looters of Goa.

Dear Judy
First of all let me tell you that I do not even know who you or Praveen are. I have not fabricated anything on the blog. The articles that I put up came through emails and I have not changed a word of it. I have given a few answers to the writers. I have not accused anybody of anything. My sentiments and that of most of the Goans here in UK was that there was an insult to the Goans by Cajetan - Personally I do not need an apology but as Niz Goenkar member Yes he has to apologise to all the Goans. How he does it, is upto him. I spoke to Jude and he seems to be a very nice person. From where you suddenly popped in I do not know and what was your link in it. I do not think I ever mentioned you or your husband in the news articles here. In your case you attacked Lazarus more than you attacked me. Your idea about me writing in all these names is totally absurd. Do you think I have not work but to sit and write the comments in the name of other people? We have lot of systems and facilities in UK and one of it is is two hour free access to internet from our library with about 60 pcs and the IP address is same for all the pcs. It runs under one server and system. I suppose you know what I mean here....The rest is for you to guess. As for me I forgive you as a Goan and say that to me you are also another Goan who is in my heart just as other Goans are. - Menino de Valpoi

My view about Cajetan Coelho is that of ego, his pride is above his name. Even after calling other Goans unwanted in his personal charity, even from as close as Sharjah, you made us feel we are not your Goan community.

Each one of us have two centers. One center you come with, which is given by existence itself, is the self. And the other center, which is created by the society, is the ego.

It is a false thing - and it is a very great trick. Through the ego the society is controlling you. You have to behave in a certain way, because only then does the society appreciate you. You have to walk in a certain way; you have to laugh in a certain way; you have to follow certain manners, a morality, a code. Only then will the society appreciate you, and if it doesn't, your ego will be shaken.

And when the ego is shaken, you don't know where you are, who you are.

The others have created an idea and that is you. That idea is the ego. In ego, you feel all is light, everything bright in your eyes.

It's time Cajetan should apologise and finish off this chapter and unite Goans. If not, he has no right to work under the umbrella of St. Mary's.
Now we will fight it ourselves in Dubai. We need to show one UNITY of Goans.

Hi Diogo Fichardo:::
I am glad in the Uk we do not invite these Scum Goan MLA`s to grace occassions often. The last time I am aware was when Churchill was invited by the Goan MP Keith Vaz to educate him on the workings of the Uk Parliament.
The Swindon Goans did invite Babush Monseratte, but he turned them down due to Mickkys troubles in Goa and his defection to the Congress Party.Apparentlt Babush was quite rude to the Swindon Goans when he declined their request at the last moment. His replacement was Francisco silveria from Ilhas.I must admit Ihave not heard a lot about Silverias notriety. But I am sure Bebdo may shine his investigative & brillant light on him.
The Swindon Goans are quite new.I am sure in due course they will learn how not to be taken for a ride by these uneducated Goan MLA`s and how not to give them prominence. They are the main reason why a lot of Goans have to move abroad to maske a decent living.
It surprises me that the Dubai Goans still hold these MLA`s with some reverence.Hopefully in time they too will understand that these MLA`s are not who they say they are.
Churchill is most definetely & frequently in Dubai purely because of money laundering. He cannot stash all his ill gotten wealth in Goa.It is also a way to evade income and capital gains Taxes.
Most of Goa` MLA`s have Tax evading foreign bank accounts. So none of them wish to be left out of this scam or a fish out of the water.
Alex Sequeiro is a notorious gambler & racketeer. He obviously will be better placed to advise on betting.

I would not disturb the Dubai Trio or expect an apology just yet. They are very busy counting the donations they have received and planning how to share some of it.
I am very, very surprised the Parish Priest of St Marys Church was not contactable either by Telephone or email while he was away, for any guidance or authorisation in tghe name of the Church.
I am sure there will be more news and damning information coming out of Dubai, about all the persons involved in shady enterprises.
I hope more Dubai Goans will comment here and expose some truths.

Two of our Goenkars from South Goa contacted me and were interested in throwing more light on Judy and Praveen. But since I am not interested in the past of anybody, I kindly turned them down and asked them not to do so. She is sorry and has apologized and the matter ends there.
Will Cajetan and his others do the same? Will they now make it public the amount collected in the name of Jackson? Or do we have to go to the church to find out with the priest about it?
I don't wear a cassock, as I have discarded it long time ago. I only believe in humanity and that is my religion. Be a good human first, and believe that religions are different roads leading to the same destination. So if someone tells me to go to the priest to find out how much amount has been collected in the name of Jackson, my answer to them would be ... did the priest make that appeal? No. So why should I go to the priest?

Bebdo said...

@Roger Fernandes... Roger do they hold elections to represent Goans on the St Mary's Goan Community? Or are the committee members just nominated by the parish priest? Pls do some research so that when they hold their next election, we'll ensure that they are fixed. Find out also when they are going to hold their next meeting. I'll try to transport all the Goan boys and men (Who are called bachelors in Dubai and are not invited for family social gatherings)to the church meeting. Help us to throw this fradulent guys out. Don't be frightened, we are with you.
We need to weed out corruption and we need to start with the roots of corruption.

Hi Roger Fernandes::: (no puns intended)Well said and very true.
It will be interesting to see how long this Cajetan will be able to keep his charade (act) & "Ship" afloat.Your survey of this ship is very true. His "Rudder" is off course at present. His "anchor" is still fastened to the sea bed & tethered to the dock. His steering wheel is disconnected.
Perhaps we will have to name him the "RIVER PRINCE" OF DUBAI.Just like his sister ship "River Princess" in the Mandovi.....let him rot & rust .!!

Most of the politicians visit Dubai is for shopping and Russian connection. They all sit on the table with Russian girls & booze and carry out the transaction how to sell Goa. Not only russian, Israel, nigerian, etc. Remember when GBA were against the Regional Plan and it was cancelled, One minister ran jet-speed to Dubai to have negotiation with the mafia due to kickback recieved from Regional plan. Its like chess game where they have places to meet and kill.

LATEST UPDATE FROM DUBAI

A friend called me just now to inform that Maria is praying day and night for the Niz Goenkar storm to pass by. She has been saying that she cannot take it anymore and is only praying. I believe she leads the prayers in the church (don't know if it is charismatic or not) and that she has been blaming Cajie for the fiasco. She says that her name has simply been dragged into the controversy when she in the first place was not even informed about the collection drive. I believe she told my friend that someone gave her mobile number for the Jackson fund collection without taking prior permission from her.
Now she is blaming Cajie too and some of the members there feels that Cajie should apologise and finish the matter once and for all.
Guys these people are fighting among themselves. This topic I believe has now become a big issue for discussion among almost all Goans in Dubai. This guy also told me that there is a section of Goans in Dubai who feels that the picnic should be cancelled, especially when one of our Goan brother is seriously ill, and instead they should make a contribution to the Jackson fund.
The question is who is responsible for the collection of funds on Jackson's behalf in Dubai?
Can those who had made the appeal please clarify, otherwise I think we should all write to Gulf News asking the Editor why the story was published and now why those responsible for the collection of funds are not taking responsibility for it.
Guys start writing to Gulf News editor asking for clarification.

What about Saturnino's emails bebdo? What about the statements of Saturnino about Maria and how can she say that she is not involved. I believe that she is neck deep involved and is now just trying to wash off her hands by implicating Cajetan alone. The whole trio is involved and there is also Praveen out to make money quietly out and out.

To Bebdo::::since you mentioned the word CHARISMATIC...you must be aware this is a fringe religion. Many people think it is a dangerous belief. They do not believe in the established religious scriptures. They do not believe in the laying of hands during baptism.Instead they believe this is done by the "Holy Spirit" ,coming thru prayer and revealed in some sort of Prophecy & miracle.
I have heard negative stuff of these Charismatics. They try to convert people to their belief system by overpreaching & overloading religion and using scare tactics.
The St Marys Church does have a group of Charismatics from my research. They meet on Wednesdays
*****To,Goencho Raknho (Goan Shepherd):::::What you have commented makes a lot of sense.Mickky Pacheco was well known to travel to Dubai. There can only be one reason...considering he has a high libido...he must have dallied with Russian women & Goan Mistresses.

In today's Hi-Tech world no one can be fooled. Today's generation is far advanced in education and will not fall for the cock and bull stories. There is an old Konkani proverb "Deck naslolem poilem ani sol parsun charbelem" (forgive my spelling) . That is exactly what is happening here. I bet the finger will be pointed at Caji and why not, but others were no saints. This not a blind following another blind story. As a Niz Goenkar we like to see this topic shut but with precondition and Caji is aware of it.

@Dalia... Hi Dalia are you out of your depression? Didn't see you for some time now. In the terminology of weather forecast, when they say a depression is building up over the ocean or the sea, it means that the weather would be rough, stormy, rain, thunder and lighting. Hope to see all these now, now that you are back.

I have no problems/issues with the forthcoming Picnic going ahead. The innocent kids must be looking forward to it.There also other innocent hardworking & honest Goans in Dubai unconnected with this Jackson appeal fiasco. They should not be deprived of their picnic, enjoyment and day out.
I am sure Jackson would not like the PICNIC cancelled because of him.
If Maria`s Telephone no. was used without her permission, then, that is unfair on her. However I am given the impression that she was answering the Phone calls without questioning them.
The person that used her Telephone no. without her express permission, should be condemned. Now Who could it be?
I am sure we will hear more on this.
It is also very unfair to exclude Batchelors from Goan events. It seems like some Goans in Dubai think the are a "CUT ABOVE THE REST".
I have read somewhere that the Dubai Goans that speak some English that feel superior.
I hope they will consider that some Goans have not had the preivlege of learning English as their parents were educated in Portuguese /Konkani / Hindi. In due course I am sure the will speak better English that those who are currently frowning / excluding them.

Being a woman, you know that we have ups and downs every month. However, this does not stop us form doing our daily chores on Niz Goenkar.
At this old age, sometimes weather affects and today being a very heavy rainy day in Goa, life was different. I said a few prayers for Cajie to understand life in better perspective and throw all his chamchas who lead him otherwise. How can he be a good sheperd without a flock? If his flock does not listen to him, what is the use? My little piggy on the prowl in Dubai told me a lot of news about this organisation, lets forget it at the moment.

The fresh news is that Jackson's wound is cleaned and certificate issued for shifting for better facilities about 3 hours ago, at 19.30 hrs. News very reliable and let's hope for the better.

As Diogo and our other Niz Goenkars have said, we want reconciliation and as for me I don't want to bugg them anymore until their President comes out with open apology for bringing the members of his own community into this controversy for his own publicity.

Bebdo said...

Guys...I am all for reconciliation with our true and honest Goans in Dubai who maybe working for the St Mary's Goan Community. However, reconciliation cannot come if Cajetan (Cajie)continues to sit on his high horse like a Don Quixote of La Mancha.
The whole controversy has been created by Cajie and the others are sucked in due to their close proximity to him. Now if they are seeing reason and wish to not associate with him, they should come out in the open and say so.
If no apology is forthcoming from Cajie, then we should not compromise and take our fight to its logical end.
Finally, I am hearing some good news about the progress made by Jackson. Get well soon Jackson!

N.Fernandes (London) said...

To Dlp::::I think most people here are very forgiving.I am sure at some time in our lives too, we have done wrong and sought forgivness, once we have seen, understood or when someone has pointed out, the error of our ways.
However I do not think Cajetan will admit he might have made an error, due to, possibly his larger than life EGO.By apologising he feels he will lose his respect & authority as the headman of a sect of Dubai Goans. He must understand that he has already lost it, in the eyes of many Goans in Dubai and around the world too.His actions are forgiveable...but he will forever tainted and followed by this whole fiasco for the rest of hs useful life.
If Cajetan & Praveen are of the human breed they can easily go on the St Marys Goan Sodality website and apologise to Maria & Navita,if they emboroiled them in this trouble.
He can also explain to the people he has requested donations from ,how much was contributed and honour the names of the people who kindly made donations.
He does not need to be a "Rocket Scientist" to do this ...or wait for the Holy Spirit to appear and guide him through.
We await his apology.

Dalia, thanks for the update it is indeed a good news. Yes just said my rosary for Jackson sake and see the results. Really prayers can do wonders. We will just keep on praying for this boy and for his family and I am positively sure, our hope prayers will be heard. I pray for peace among all our goenkars.

"If no apology is forthcoming from Cajie, then we should not compromise and take our fight to its logical end."
What stupid ego battle are being fought here. Just ignore the chap henceforth and get on with real issues guys. Just read all recent postings and comments. While they appear to be caring for Jackson; it also looks like this is a virtual picnic/get-together of sorts where gossip and views on dubai goan organizations seem to matter.
Get on with real issues. Dubai isn't Goa. And let ego kindly take a backseat. Some of the postings are so very hilarious - its typical "bar" talk. "We will do this and we will do that". The art of war also includes learning when to move on and not wasting resource on things that don't warrant attention. A Dubai organization's behavior in Dubai - we Goans in Goa could care less.

N.Fernandes (London) said...

Hi Anonymous:::I hope you will kindly allow me to differ with you.
Jackson is a Goan boy from Goa,who went to Dubai to better himself and improve the quality of life for his ageing parents.
Unfortunately he was taken seriously ill with "Dengue" fever.
Many people, I am quite sure, will appreciate the efforts made by Dubai Goans to assist him.
However there seems to be more questions being asked about their motives.
Their forthcoming Picnic is well advertised on their website. There was no appeal for Jackson till the 6th October. There are more photographs of historic events (football, speeches etc) on their website.A church website.A Church that is meant to extend compassion and not just "jolly " happenings.
Perhaps you could explain to me why an appeal for Jackson was not put up on the website earlier. This was a matter of life over death.
The current Information on the website only asks for "PRAYERS" for Jackson.Could you explain as best as you can why was "FINIANCIAL ASSISTANCE not requested on the same appeal. Why has the Finiancial assistance not been included in the Church Website? Why instead was Finiancial assistance requested privately? Why was the appeal later changed to " only for Dubai Goans"?.Why is the name of the Church being used for the appeal, but only prayers are being asked and Finiancial assistance excluded.
I do not see any difficulty transferring money from the UK to Dubai for the appeal. Many Goans transfer money from the UK,Dubai to Goa.Why was the appeal restricted to the Dubai Goans only?
There is a lot more I could ask...but I am sure if you read some of the articles here you will get some reasons as to why this appeal has gone sour.
I am awaiting answers from Cajetan and Praveen.
If they can portray themselves as highly educated, exclusive English speaking cult Goans,a cut above the rest, influential with rougue MLA`s in Goa...why can the not use these talents to provide answers to reduce the criticism levelled at them.
Their Parish Priest will eventually need to explain the use of his Church for a "HALF BAKED" & "HALF COOKED"appeal.
This whole appeal smacks of selfish finiancial motives....not compassion.

@ Mr. N Fernandes - Sir, I agree with you whole-heartedly. My point simply is that if you know a person/organization is not worth it - why spend precious time in a so called "investigation". Have articles and posts on this forum already not done the job. All I am saying is stop - just ignore those persons and the organization henceforth and move on.

Bebdo said...

@Anonymous
If we don't take the issue to its logical end, then we will be no different than some susegad Goans who say 'let it be'zalle tem zallem.
For you kind information, when an appeal is made and it was given wide publicity in Gulf News and OHeraldo, the readers of these two newspapers too have a right to know what has happened to the issue. Tomorrow, every Tom, Dick and Harry will make an appeal in the name of some ailing individual and there would be some generous and compassionate readers of these newspapers who would like to help the sick person.
This is not an ego clash, but upholding ethics of professionalism. A newspaper too is responsible for its readers. And if there is no follow up on the funds collected so far, then something is wrong somewhere. The newspapers too should investigate as they were used to highlight this issue.
Maybe Anonymous, you won't know this for it appears that you are more used to the'bar talk'. In a way you are right... 'bar talk' means legal discourse, and legally speaking the onus is on Cajetan and the ones who have made the appeal, got it published in the newspapers and emailed it to hundreds of Goans in Dubai and other parts of the world. You are sounding like Chorchill, when he was asked 'on what grounds?' he replied 'Fatorda Ground', and when the reporter said, 'you must be joking', Chorchill replied, 'he is my younger brother'.
So I would humbly request you to learn the principles of ethics, professionalism, transperancy and accountability.

I agree with all the commentators and fully agree with Anonynmous, Bebdoa and N. Fernandes. When it was advertised, we all have a right.

I sympathize with Jude Periera for his very healing stand but unfortunately, I do not see any apology from Cajetan, until now.

The controversy has reached it's peak but not to logical end. The boy is suffering and Cajetan is in thinking whether to apologize or maintain his pride?

N.Fernandes (London) said...

Hi Anonymous:::Thanks for your response.Once again please allow me to clarify a few things.
We are not investigating this Group of people.
We are just questioning their methods & accountability.
If these people are allowed to continue with their current methods & procedures of asking for people for money for compassionate causes and are not prepared to be accountable than they must be questioned.Donors should not be "DOOR MATS"
I am quite sure, if you were asked to give financial help for a cause only to then learn ,that some of your money would be used to benefit the appealants and not the actual appeal,...I am sure you would be disgusted and furious.
I am sure this whole saga will come to an end.The sooner the better. But every donor would like to know how their generosity was used.
In addition donors would like to know why Sodality magazine / website is used for Prayers only and not money. Why is the money appeal made via Newspapers only? The St Marys Church Sodality executives,Board of Directors,Chairman,Secretaries,Press officers and other do-gooders can best answer this.
I am sure many Dubai Goans wish to know this too as they are the main donors. As you know, the REST OF THE wORLD,was excluded at the last moment.

Anonymous said...

This organisation is exposed to such an extent, they are the exclusives of Dubai and we, poor workers are the untouchables of Goa. Nothing more to say.

Bebdo said...

@Anonymous... There is a fine line between the law of Tort and crime. In the case of Jackson, the person/s who had made the appeal and got it published and then shunned responsibility for it comes under the ambit of criminal law.
Let me explain... In this case Cajetan has created an offence by offending Goans from parts, other than Dubai, by sending an e-mail saying that donations other Goans are not accepted. The appeal was world-wide (Gulf News is online so is Herald). So whoever has read the appeal has been offended by these remark, irrespective of whether the reader wanted to make a contribution to the Jackson fund or not.
As per the theory of offence in law, Cajetan with this remark; and the person/s responsible for making the appeal on Jackson's behalf have created an offence to all society and public interest. Hence, it is a crime. Had they have offended only Jackson (which now they have) then it would have been a case of Tort.
Now since,a crime has been committed as per the Theory of Offence in law, it calls for the punishment of the criminal.
The punishment that we are asking for is just an apology.
I hope I have made myself clear. And if we leave a criminal go scotfree, then he/they will commit the same offence again. We don't have to go far.Look at our 40 Chors how they are looting Goa without any fear of the law. But once, action is taken against a few of them for their crimes, then the rest will follow in line. Otherwise why do we require laws and religions? Let there be a jungle law, where might is right.
So anonymous, learn some 'bar talk' from a Bebdo, and not the ghantti talk which one hears in Goa now near the tavernas and watering holes.

N.Fernandes (London) said...

Hi Anonymous::::Just another thing I forgot to mention.
When you part with your hard earned money for any goods, services or causes you not only expect a receipt and some guarantee for it...but you would also like to ensure it works for you.If not...you take it back and question why it was sold when it was not "FIT FOR PURPOSE".
This case of Jackson, propositioned and executed by the Dubai Trio & an unladylike, abusive & deranged "loudmouth" called Judy,is like Swiss Emmental Cheese.....it has too many holes in it!!!!
I have read an email addressed to DLP from Judy.
It is in Konkani which I cannot fully read to understand. But some of the words and prose used and which I can understand is "very pungent".
DLP & a few others have kindly forgiven Judy following her apologies for the abuse.I only hope it is a sincere apology.
Perhaps Cajetan and Praveen are unable to express their human values as their pride is in the way.Apoligies from them, is detrimental & not good for future "Finiancial Harvests".

N.Fernandes (London) said...

Hi Anonymous:::you are correct. From what I have read from Dubaikars...these Sodality members believe they belong to the higher "Echelons" (upper class)of Goan society. The rest and majority of the Goans that live and work in Dubai are treated as "untouchables" and down trodden on.This Sodality is only for "Classy" Goans.I have heard that because they speak English & possibly earn a few dinars more, they see themselves as Gods "chosen "people and behave like Bollywood superstars.
I am sure you will hear more about these people.
I am awaiting more juicy information from Dubaikars. It will help understand what theese Classy Goans stand for better.

LATEST FROM DUBAI

Hi all, just now our representative in Jebel Ali called me and he has mobilised around 63 Goans (men and boys). Most of them live in the camps there as they don't have families here. He and his 'bachelor boys' are planning to attend the picnic and also want to meet the priest to find out about the funds that have been collected on Jackson's behalf. He said that most of the 'bachelor boys from Goa' are furious at the state of affairs in Dubai and they wanted to create some sort of nuisance during the picnic.
I advised him not to create divisions among Goans and to behave like Goans. I also advised him that if some Goan families want to have a picnic, let them and we should not stoop to their level and create problems for them. I also told him that this is how we create divisions among ourselves and the ghanttis and the 40 chors take advantage of our divisions.
I told him what our motto is... that is to Unite All Goans to Kick Out the Looters of Goa.
Guys have I done the correct thing by asking him and his group not to attend the picnic and to confront the priest on the Jackson issue?
I need you answers please.

N.B... There is also talk in Dubai that Niz Goenkar is funded by Manohar Parrikar and Luizinho Faleiro.

NIZ GOENKAR said...

Dear Bebdo and all the readers in Dubai.

I do not even know Parrikar and have never met him. Luizinho I had met once at some occasion and that too was almost 10 years back. This does not make any acquaintance. I run this blog on my own and don't bother to ask anybody's assistance. It is unfortunate that some people who got hurt from some of the articles here and feel that their exposure is imminent are the ones who are spreading these tales. I have no hard feelings or any ill feelings towards anybody. Each one has got his or her freedom of expression. Just for one interview with Parrikar does not mean that I know him and that interview was taken by our Goa Correspondent Mr. P. Cruz.

This is for favour of information.

N.Fernandes (london) said...

Hi Bebdo::: I would advise the Goan boys / men to preserve their dignity and avoid the Picnic.
The Picnic is a family gathering, with kids and the elderly and should not be used as a platform for any protest or any sort of vendetta or revenge.
These guys would be better served if they approach their Parish Priest or the Parish Priest of SMGS to express their dissatisfaction.
I fully understand & deplore how they (batchelors & unacompanied married men) must feel to be excluded from Goan functions or functions in the name of GOANS.
Goans by nature are very social.
There will always be divisions within Goan society. It exists in all other societys too.
However the Church should be "neutral" in such affairs. All Goans must be included in Church related functions or functions in the name of the CHURCH.
If this is not the case, the Church must come out strongly, to DEPLORE SUCH BIAS from other Goans.
The Goans in Dubai who wish to exclude other GOANS FROM THEIR JOLLITIES...SHOULD NOT come under the umbrella of THE CHURCH.
As far as I know...all men are equals in the eye of God .
They should just use the name " UPPER CLASS GOAN ORGANISATION / CLUB.
The word SODALITY refers to the Universal Church.
*****Here is the meaning; In Christian theology, a sodality is a form of the "Universal Church" expressed in specialized, task oriented form as opposed to the Christian church in its local, diocesan form (which is termed modality). In English, the name sodality is most commonly used by groups in the Catholic Church, where they are also referred to as confraternities.

LATEST FROM DUBAI

Just now one Goan who was associated with the Goan organisation in Dubai told our contact in Dubai that the parish priests Fr Frank and Fr Michael had a meeting with the Dubai trio and asked them many questions regarding the Jackson issue.
The priests it seems are not happy with what is happening as it is also giving a bad name to St Mary's parish in Dubai.
As usual the passing of the buck took place and all blame was put on the doorstep of Menino the Nizgoenkar. There were name-callings, mudsling and character-assassination of Menino.
He said that the priests took a very neutral view of the proceedings and just to pacify them said that there are always such groups who will try to undermine the work of others.
But on the whole, it appeared that the priests too were unhappy about the way this Dubai trio handled Jackson's issue.
Bye for now

@ Senor Bebdo: I bow my head wrt the fantastic theory you have put forth. It is interesting to learn that NizGoenkar has become an alternative court room. I am contemplating actually speaking to the Ghanttis in this regard and confirming my doubt that they have a similar thought process to yours. Seriously, this was by far your best post in the entire NG blog so far (ROTFL). And yes - hats off to your network. I love the way you put it - "my source in Jebel Ali, or Goa, or Dubai". And for certain Stockholm comes next!! Since you cannot grasp a simple point of letting a bygone be a bygone, and choose to attempt your ill-researched logic with me, I can't help but respond this way.
@ N. Fernandes Sir: Again - as before agreed. Except that when I choose to make a contribution - I will never base it on trust. There is an approach to receiving donations and clearly the beloved St. Mary's had no clue what they were getting into. But that does not mean that we too lose our senses. The next time an appeal (for whatever reason or medium) is put up on NG; it should be thoroughly comprehensive in detailing the requirement and mode of fund remittance. The amount of "investigation" on now, is exactly what should have been done before. While I am sure all of us feel for the affected being - we also have to realize that a rational action on our parts would be much more helpful.
Once again I reiterate - it is best to ignore the individuals and organization in the future. NizGoenkar is very unfortunately in the line of fire - and Sir you will agree it is not possible to take this to any kind of "logical" end through this approach of we writing against St. Mary's and they responding through other forums. It is our word against theirs. I respect whatever you have written Sir - its just that when you fight with pigs - both of us get dirty and the pig likes it too. Why give St. Mary's free publicity?

Dear all readers,
First of all let me inform all my esteemed readers that I am not out for an investigation of the incident. Neither I am after SMGC to expose their collections or picnics or whatever. I had put up the email by Cajetan as an article for all the readers to know that now it was their stand on the matter and to stop all the people calling me on the phone to donate. I wanted our readers to know that as of that day I would not be involved in the donation or money business pertaining to Jackson. I put up the email of Cajetan as an article, since some people thought I was bluffing and running away from a responsibility towards a sick Goan. In order to prove reality of the situation I was forced to up the email of Cajetan. If something came to light or got hidden was and is not my concern. I also do not want this forum to be a court room and it never is. The comments of the people are a way of debating the issue. In due course if some people came out with some secrets or some exposure of some individuals that is not my doing and neither is it my concern. My main aim is to unite the Goans through this blog and not carry on fights against the corrupt, evil and anti Goans. We the Niz Goenkar members have done our part for Jackson by activating the NRI cell and other legal government offices. What SMGC does or others do is not my concern. The clarification of my stand as according to some commentators has exposed deeds of some people is entirely the readers and commentators view. I blocked all the comments that were very very vulgar and full of bad words fired at the SMGC and others. I also feel that truth has to come out whatever and whoever it comes from or against whoever or whatever. There are other issues to be read and the blog has news and articles for people to read and comment – Thank you

Dear Readers, You all are awesome people who are sharing their thoughts, criticizing etc., on this blog. It is time to experience amazing possibilities of enhancing our credentials. Try fooling around and everything pops out from their hiding places and even the best kept secrets are unfolded. Life is good when everything becomes extraordinary but once it is doomed then failures comes and hard to digest. That is what the present scenario is all about. Our pulses start racing like a racing horse eager to know more and more. First everyone enjoyed good days of partying and merry making and one single mistake created by these so called people the whole pack of cards comes crumbling down relieving everything that is practiced faulty. I do not know how the Church community has appointed a President, who is so arrogant, adamant, despicable character. If at all the community is under the Church banner a good and God fearing person should have been appointed to lead the organization. I wonder if this is all planned by few takers along with the priests, who may also get their share of bread. There is a tendency that everything can be manipulated by doing everything what they fill good. Such a person doesn’t even tend to lead the Church organization. The Community should ask him to resign and give way for a better and honest person. I am sure this person is under the influence of the 40 chors in Goa and takes their advice and doesn’t bother to even face any consequences of his wrong doings. He knows that this chalice of fiasco will pass by after few days without any misgivings as it has been done in Goa tan amounting even to crimes and go scotched free. He knows this incident has created ripple throughout the entire Goan Communities all over the world, and he should have taken a positive steps to calm down the storm instead he sticks to his values and pride. If he is a true and God fearing person, he should immediately tender his resignation, which I am sure is not possible as he enjoying all the credits gain in this episode.

I am sure this whole episode of the "Jackson Saga" will come to an end soon.
I hope, at the same time, Jackson will fully recover from his dire situation and his parents will be able to continue with their lives.
As for the SMGS, I am sure they will have learnt a lot of lessons from the comments made here.
They should not be allowed to have cosy lives at the expense of others ;and use a sad situation to enhance & disguise their finiancial well being.
If they have chosen to "Manage" & "Control" a situation..they need to be brave enough to take criticisms, responsibility and accountability of it.
The debate that has raged here on Niz-Goenkar,will surely open some eyes and ears too.
Many Goans in Dubai feel down-trodden from what I have learnt by the SMGS.This behaviour has also been transferred to Goans elsewhere, when they (SMGS) changed the request for donations for DUBAIKARS ONLY.Accepting donations form all Goans in Dubai and then treating some of them as "shit" is not acceptable and downright despicable and should be condoned.
Many wil ask if this JACKSON SAGA has produced any results...my personal answer is yes.It will have demonstrrated to these SMGS clowns that there is a world that is watching. It will also assist them with correctly and inclusively involving others ,fairly,in such enterprises in future.

I am also sure more information will follow in the next few days.It is still being filtered.

I have seen Jackson's family this evening. I also seen the medical reports from Al Rashid hospital which claims that he had Dengue fever.
It seems yesterday, he was given clearance for shifting to other hospital but much before that, his bit of bleeding started again. I spoke to his relative Savio a bit later in Dubai.

Hope all will be fine for him. I will follow up with the NRI Commissionaire tomorrow at opening time and see what results they could deliver.

The spirited discussions have enlightened me as to why we are loosing our homeland, and as a people. Those that chose to take on leadership roles in our society should not be like the 40 chors sitting in Goa. We have had so many great Goan leaders in our time; it is time you chose to emulate them! I hope we can all learn that we have make mistakes, stop worshipping the 40 chors that are selling OUR Goa. It is time to come together and work together and fight for OUR Goa. Than maybe, just maybe, we can SAVE OUR GOA and ourselves!....Thanks Menino, for making these important discussions to happen...we need to look within ourselves for the change we would like to see in OUR beloved Goa.Viva Goa!

Good to know Jackson is showing signs of recovery!! Praise God!!

Dear all,
First of all we are turning this blog into a political arena. We are accusing each other based on not fully corroborated information and acting just like the politicians turning our own people against each other to achieve our own motives whatever they maybe. Yes Bebdo has a very good accomplice in Dubai, but I must say his knowledge of how the church and its groups function is very limited or has not given full details and we are basing our comments and accusations on his outlook and drawing the church and its priests into this debate. Did we for once check out if it is true and not just base it on comments made here? Being in Dubai I know most of the goan groups here. Frankly speaking yes there have been many goan groups / associations that came up and died down mainly due to greed and internal politics and some that are still going strong.

Firstly let me tell you’ll a bit relating to the functioning of the church. St Mary’s is the biggest parish in the Middle East and does not function like the parishes in UK as most of them are small as compared to St Mary’s. There are various groups all under the church. The church has control over these groups however not all decisions are made by the parish priest but their own teams and the spiritual director who is one of the Assistant Priests. The groups have their own website and the church has a separate website. The spiritual director normally do not get involved in the functioning of the group on a regular basis.

Now to the famous SMGC, this group is relatively new as compared to some of the other goan groups that are in existence in Dubai. But seriously guys I think you all have gone out of hand in condemning them. I know some of the team members and they really do good work for our goan community. And since they are relatively new, not many are aware of what they exactly do. Yes they may have made mistakes in how they replied and went about the collection drive, but I think we as an educated bunch of individuals should know how not to blow things out of proportion. I think we have gone overboard in just commenting against them. Who said that their events are only for families? Ofcourse not! It is open to all including bachelors alike and do not exclude anyone. I have seen a lot of bachelors for their events. It is not like some of you guys mention in the blog and then are ever ready to further add fire to it!!

Bebdo that u asked your accomplice not to create a nuisance at the picnic is good as it is not a good trait to pit goans against goans however bad u feel against a group. We want to spread unity among our goans not hatred. By instigating there is nothing achieved. It just proves that we goans don’t stand united among ourselves. You can tell your accomplice in Dubai that he together with his 63 friends can go and enjoy the picnic!! But do not make this a political arena! I am sure if they go to the priest they will get all the answers they want or even ask Cajie. For that matter, has anyone asked all these questions that u guys pose on this blog to Cajie and his team personally through email? Why speculate in what may have happened? Ask him openly and I am sure he will reply. He is not that ego centric guy as you make him out to be.

Let peace prevail!!

@Andrew F.
Truth will prevail, I am here as an outsider from the herald blog. I can see that the Goans are fighting here. But to my point to Andrew F, the question was not about Cajetan or otherwise, the question is about why Cajetan failed to take other Goans on board. Why did he segregated DUBAI GOANS and other Goans? Bebdo is right in exposing the true facts as facts are facts. What about the Sharjah and Abu Dhabi Goans, re they not Goans in UAE?
I have been reading this in silence but do have my reservations on you Goans, there are no blue blood Goans and Dubai Goans, you are all one so are. You will condemn me because I am OUTSIDER. And my final opinion, Cajetan has got his ego, think over.

Now the politicians must be laughing their hearts out becoz our focus on them has been diverted by this issue. Guys let us get this over with and focus on our main cause that we started in the first place. Let us forget the whole drama and let this Dubai fiasco Rest In Peace! Amen!!

TWP Ghanti and others,
If you have read the previous reports on the said issue, you would have noted in one of their communication where they mention that they do not have a separate bank account where they can give details to people who want to donate. Therefore to my level of understanding they had segregated the Dubai Goans as it was easier to collect the donations from them directly. When facts are the true facts, I have no issues but if you going to rely on what someone has told you without corroborating it first, has no substance and make us gossip mongers as well.
So if there was some logical thinking done before all guns were shot, we wouldn’t be accusing each other and bad mouthing people.

TWP, welcome to the blog after graduating in English as it sounds by now. Hope you will not make this blog like ex-Herald. Are you the real TWP? Anway, humour assured from your side.

As dlp said, let this issue be bygone, we heard enough clarifications. Focus on prayers for Jackson, GET WELL SOON.

Wow! TWP You have improved man!!! You already learnt to say Goans instead of Goanese. What other new things have you learnt? Anyway, nice to see you here as we were missing you after the Herald forum died down and now turned into an Egyptian Mummy. Roasting In Plaster (RIP).

DLP Let the politicians laugh and cry. Because we have shown the true side of Goans where we disagree but we are all united in one cause. At this moment in time our Goan son needs us in prayers and deeds. Let us Goans all learn to live in unity, "Rome was not built in a day".
