VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) on Thursday told the high court of Bombay at Goa that it had identified 416 illegal structures at Destorro, Baina and Katem Baina in Vasco.  During the hearing of a petition filed by the Mormugao Port Trust (MPT), MMC's advocate S D Padiyar said that the civic body has identified 416 illegal. MICKKY PACHECHO SENTENCED TO ONE YEAR IMPRISONMENT FOR ASSAULTING JUNIOR ENGINEER

PANJIM: Former Goa Tourism Minister Fransisco Mickey Pacheco was on Wednesday sentenced to one-year imprisonment for assaulting a junior engineer of the state electricity department.  Judicial Magistrate First Class in Margao town ordered the imprisonment, which was suspended for 30 days, allowing Pacheco to appeal in the higher court.
