CM WANTS TO DEVELOP MONTE DONGOR MIGRANTS WARD IN THE NAME OF MARGAO

MARGAO: The Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat has assured adequate funds to spruce up Margao town. Mr Kamat was speaking at the Margao Municipal Council meeting held on Tuesday morning which was attended by the MMC chairperson, Ms Sushila Naik, chief officer, Mr Prasanna Acharya and councillors.
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the past four months and talked on starting various development programmes. But it is a well know fact that the spineless CM of Goa Digambar Kamat had once said that he does not need the Goans’ votes. So this could be easily the trick to develop his migrant vote bank at Monte Dongor using Margao as an alibi
Among the programmes is the long-pending overhead bridge from the Collectorate office over the public garden towards State Bank of India which will reduce the burden of vehicular traffic, he told mediapersons after the meeting.
A three months preparation programme has been scheduled to implement the new plans, which includes installation of CCTV cameras to cover MMC totally and its computerisation as well as recruitment of more staff.
MMC will get two more trucks for lifting garbage and arches will be built at the four entrances of the city saying ‘Welcome To Margao’, he said adding two auto rickshaws for carrying garbage will also be provided.
"The grants should be utilised in such a way that it turns into life-long assets," the chairperson quoted the CM as saying.
Margao must wear a new look with more gardens and parking lots. For this project, two places have been identified one an empty space of old fish market and the other the busy old bus stand. The project is proposed on a build-and-operate mode.
The income from parking will be partly disbursed to MMC.  The CM held discussions with sanitary committee to resolve the garbage problems in the city. Various suggestions also came up for discussion which included outsourcing the garbage work or employing MMC workers. Electrical engineers were told to hasten the work on cabling, which has kicked up a lot of digging and dust. Irrigation officers were told to hasten desilting of drainage. The CM also assured another 500 metallic dustbins.
Advocate Ms Pratima Coutinho of ward No16 said she raised the issue of burning garbage on a daily basis by the collectors which is very harmful to the residents. She said that the practice should be immediately stopped and the garbage taken to Sonsodo. The other point she raised was the poor quality of garbage bins distributed and wanted the bins to be changed.

Digambar does not have b**ls. Let MMC answer :how many builds have been given lice to construct without provision for parking space. Not even the collectorate Building which is a public utility office. And now people have to pay for parking. They, MMC should be taken to court for flouting the licensing norms.
They lift two wheelers and charge Rs. 160  100 for plocie and 60 for Municipality
This is gross illegality. When Building are allowed to be built nag touching the roads without mandatory parking.

TWO WHEELERS ===DONT PAY THE FINE == IF YOUR BIKE IS LIFTED . STRAIGHT AWAY GO TO THE MMC CHIEF OFFICERS  OFFICE AND DEMAND TO KNOW WHY PARKING IS NOT PROVIDED FOR BUILDINGS. WHERE ARE THE PUBLIC SUPPOSED TOO KEEP THEIR TWO WHEELERS?
CARS ARE KEPT RIGHT ON THE ROAD. WHY ARE THEY NOT TOWED?
SCARED OF BIGSHOTS?
