AIRES CONDEMNS JUDGE DESMOND D’COSTA’S SUSPENSION

PANJIM: Adv. Aires Rodrigues has strongly condemned the sudden suspension of Judge Desmond D’Costa.  Terming the suspension as unwarranted and deplorable, Adv. Rodrigues has stated that any injustice to anyone should never be tolerated and more so when it is meted out to a person of an outstanding caliber and impeccable integrity.
Adv. Rodrigues has expressed anguish that the justice delivery system has failed a very knowledgeable, talented and honest judge. Adv. Rodrigues has warned that if the injustice meted out to Judge Desmond is not immediately rectified that the credibility of the judiciary as the third and vital pillar of our constitution would be at stake.
Adv. Rodrigues has stated that the people of Goa need to stand in solidarity with this very distinguished judge while he braves this uncalled for attack on him.
Adv. Rodrigues has stated that it was an irony that while Judge Desmond D’Costa has been hauled up for allegedly expeditiously disposing one of the cases against Mahanand Naik, no action is being taken against another Judge who has documented evidence of grave judicial impropriety with even the High Court itself having passed serious strictures.
Adv. Rodrigues has further stated that it was time the High Court cracked the whip and also got rid of some other unworthy and highly incompetent judges who continue to preside and make a mockery of temples of justice.

Nice to see every patriotic truth loving common man of Goa-condemning the action taken against the Hon. Justice Desmond D'Costa. The common man in Goa respects the Hon. Judge and holds him in high esteem because of his honesty and integrity and his refusal to bend the rules to suit the corrupt and powerful.
Nice to see the whole of Goa raising voice against the victimisation. It is indeed unfortunate that the honest Officials with integrity are always suffering at the hands of the dishonest--in the Country-- especially after independence.....
