MARGAO: The Maina Curtorim police has registered a case of attempt to commit suicide against the two minors who consumed ratol poison at Loutolim two days ago.
The police said the offence has been registered against the victim boy and girl who are presently convalescing at the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim. “The police has registered an offence under section 309 read with section 34 of the IPC.
Further investigations is in progress”, informed Maina Curtorim PI Sidhant Shirodkar.
The duo had consumed ratol paste two days ago and were later rushed to GMC. Their condition is being monitored by the GMC doctors.
Special Judicial Magistrate S B Faria has already recorded the statements of the two minors. PI Shirodkar said the case of attempt to commit suicide has been registered based on the statements recorded by the Special Judicial Magistrate.(HD)

The case should be registered against Ratol producers and the retailers for selling Ratol to minors.
