For the moment I just wish to correct a few of your views of Goans that went to Africa and other parts of India and elsewhere. These Goans were invited by the Portuguese & the British to fill-up jobs in their colonies. The Civil services was one such job amongst others. It was in no way due to persecution by the Portuguese /British. Goans going to these parts were not slaves.

Nwododo David, 23, was caught red-handed by the Calangute police team led by PSI Chimulkar on Monday while he was waiting near a parking area at Saligao trying to sell drugs that he was carrying with him to tourists.

MARGAO: The sessions court Margao has once again sumoned the Russian rape victim to appear before it in connection with the trial against the local politician and accused John Fernandes. Court sources informed that scientific analyses report of the clothes of the accused, which had been sent to the forensic laboratory at Hyderabad, has been recently submitted to the court.
It may be recalled that the trial was adjourned for sometime as the forensic reports were awaited.
