GOA CABINET DECISION ON CASINOS INFLUENCED BY KICKBACKS, BJP

Panjim: Leader of Opposition in Goa Assembly Manohar Parrikar today alleged that money changed hands in the off-shore casino matter which forced the state cabinet to roll back its own decision.
"They have taken money from almost everyone (casino operators). I can't say who paid whom but definitely money has changed the hands," Parrikar said reacting to yesterday's cabinet decision.
Goa government yesterday had decided to relocate off-shore casino vessels within Mandovi river basin as against its earlier decision taken in February 2009 to shift them away to Aguada bay.  "The state government is bankrupt in all respect. They are bankrupt in thinking, action and even results. They don't know what they are doing," said the former chief minister.
Parrikar, an MLA from Panjim, said the casinos should move away from the city. "They should not be visible from Panjim," he added.  Parrikar said he and BJP will overall oppose such casinos. Pointing out to the cases filed by off-shore casino operators who were reluctant to move from Mandovi river, Parrikar said that Advocate General Subodh Kantak was incompetent and was hand in gloves with the casino operators.
"He (AG) could not get an order in these cases which were filed in September 2009," Parrikar said adding the court was ruling Goa for the last one and half year instead of Congress-led government. - PTI

Every Goan knows that kickbacks or money changing hands is part of everyday life for the corrupt ministers. I don't think we needs BJP to confirm that are they any better?

Parrikar too makes noise based on issues those are not filling his own pockets. He is intellectual but based on personal sentiments. If he wish, he could do a lot but greed at times keeps him silent.
